  • A mini vacation tool for winter …..

    P1234331 (Custom)

Though one blogging friend feels my Hawaii blogs may be “tantalyzingly” painful for those in the midst of real winter, I will still post this as a mini vacation tool, especially for Glen’s sister and her daughter, and sherylshearer. They live where snow has been dumped once more this weekend (and continues) - in Wisconsin and nearby Chicago. I’m wondering if this is a record year for WI and how many inches! Hope it doesn’t mean flooding in the spring.

There’s always that hope, THIS TOO SHALL PASS!! Meanwhile, GRACE, GRACE, GRACE to those of you ‘swimming’ in snow re: strength for shoveling and the getting stuck challenges, plus patience with the sight of snow.

  • My goodness you’ve been busy over here in Walkalongside-land.  Love the flower pics….and that man is looking to me like there’s nothing “mini” about the vacation he’s on!

  • Just got back from taking the kiddo’s to haircuts…I would have considered the museum.  Beeb’s studying Astronomy in Science right now and the last chapter ( in 2 weeks) is on space travel….I’ve wondered if there is really much on space at that museum though…Would like to see a space IMAX movie…but doesn’t appear they are showing any of those right now either…let me know how it was!

  • @toomanyhats - Yes, it would be worth it for space info. They are in the process of finishing their third building that will be their space museum. Meanwhile, they have items in the regular building and the IMAX theater building.  Moon land rover, etc.  Extensive items with Titan II and discussing the role of Lockheed Martin with that. Neat for me since that is where our son, Andy, keeps their computers going.  If your son would like to read about an astronaut as an autobiography, we have a Col. Jim Irwin, Apollo 15, book.  He was at our fundraiser for Christian school in Grand Junction and at our church in Denver.  Neat Christian!

  • The sun is shining today!!!! But… we’re under a wind chill advisory. ha! Such is life in Wisconsin.  Thanks for the beautiful pictures of Hawaii. It’s been fun taking the trip “with you.”
